Building Team Info

Our Architect is Jeff Smies of Smies & Associates Architects, LLC.

The Building Team includes Burt Dunst (Chair), Steve Drella, Chris Drella, Diane Steichen, Mark Van Donsel, Carolyn Van Donsel, Keith Werner and David Winkler.

The Building Team recently received preliminary plans from Jeff Smies. To view the plans, scroll down to find the menu. The drawings include: Our current site and facility, two proposed master plans that offer options for expanding the building in future years, a proposed floor plan that adds the space recommended by the Ministry & Facility Task Force Study, and several elevations (pictures of the building) showing what it would look like if the proposed floor plan were actually built.

Comments, questions and suggestions -- The building team is anxious to receive feed back from the congregation.

  • Informal Conersation: Every Sunday members of the team will be available for informal conversation. Gather where the large sized plans are posted in the fellowship hall.
  • Formal Conversation: We are also conducting more formal conversations with ministry groups and church organizations, asking them to think about how the changes might impact their area of service.
  • Round Table Discussions: In May and June we will schedule several round table discussions open to all members of the parish.

At the Team's next meeting with Jeff Smies they will begin to put together a "soft estimate" of how much it might cost.

 

 

Capital Campaign Info

Our Capital Campaign advisor is Alan Aleckson of Kairos & Associates.

The Capital Campaign Executive Team includes Connie Aprill, Herb Aprill, Sherry Stender, Melissa Winkler and Barb Wolf.

In addition to the Executive Team, there are five other teams: the Communication Team, the Spiritual Life Team, the Administrative support Team, the Youth Team and the Hospitality Team. We are still seeking volunteers for each of these teams.

Training scheduled:  Alan will be ready to gather the Executive, Communication and Spiritual Life teams for training on Monday, May 19 beginning at 6:30.  Tteam leaders should bepresent at training and if other members of the teams have been appointed and can attend, they should try to attend too.

The Sedule for Monday, May 19. . .

Executive Team:            6:30 – 7:00 PM
Communication Team:   7:00 – 8:00 PM
Spiritual Life Team         8:00 – 8:30 PM

Team members are encouraged to attend the all three sessions so they can learn about what the other teams will be doing. It is also recommended that the Executive Team members attend all three sessions.
